Mount Etna is the highest active stratovolcanoe in the world.
We propose to spend a day with us and a small friendly group to discover a beautiful nature, endemic flora and fauna, cinder cones and lava caves of Mount Etna.
We will pick you up in the morning with our 4 wheel drives or minivan to reach the altitude of 2.000 above sea level.
At this altitude we will start our moderate hike off the beaten tracks (approx. 2 hours) to admire the fascinating landscape of the Valle del Bove, the biggest caldera of Mount Etna and its moon like deserts. From there we will enjoy breathtaking views of the summit smocking craters and the surrounding landscapes facing the Ionian Sea.
The tour also includes the exploration of a lava tube to experience a natural phenomenon created when the surface lava solidified but magma continued to flow into the tunnel.
