From the summit, one can admire stunning views of the High Atlas Mountains and Souss Valley. For reference, Fernandel shot Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves here in 1954.

The picturesque Berber town offers much to observe and it is on route to Agadir that these quaint villages from 16th century are worth seeing before they vanish forever.

What To Expect

Stop At: Taroudant, Taroudant, Souss-Massa

This trip starts in the morning with a pickup from your hotel or cruise ship (Agadir port) to travel to Taroudant and Tiout. This former capital of the Souss Valley is 80 kilometers from Agadir and boasts impressive ochre-colored ramparts that make the journey worth it. Alongside its small medina and modest souks, this ‘Little Marrakech’ has much to offer due to its turbulent past. Once you have parked your car, a six kilometer walk around the majestic ramparts will reveal nine doorways each named after its own special pink sand. The craft bazaars are known for their fine Berber jewelry crafted in silver – a tradition in this town - while carpets can be haggled for too. The duration of this experience is 8 hours.
