Driver and Guide option:

Your driver will pick you up from your Naples accommodation, the Naples railway station or the Naples cruise terminal at your prearranged time and take you to Pompeii, located approximately 30 minutes away. Here, you’ll be welcomed by your private guide and given an overview of Pompeii.

During your two-hour tour of this renowned archaeological site, you’ll learn about what happened here one summer's day in 79 AD when Mt Vesuvius erupted and spewed volcanic ash over the entire city. Unaware of the imminent danger, most people carried on with their everyday lives and as a result the whole town and around 20,000 of its inhabitants were buried under tons of ash and pumice.

Almost two millennia later, you can explore the location of this notorious disaster and view first-hand the houses, streets and public buildings that have been miraculously preserved by the volcanic ash. Your personal guide – an expert archaeologist – will lead you on a private tour around excavated city which gives an insight into 1st-century Roman life frozen at the moment Pompeii was buried. Explore captivating sights such as the forum, thermal baths, various houses/villas plus Lupanare brothel & House of Vetti with its beautiful frescoes.

After exploring Pompeii there is additional free time before rejoining your car back to Naples.

Driver Only Option:

If preferred there is a transport-only option which provides private return transportation from Naples & lets visitors spend some independent time in Pompeii. Your driver will wait for you while wandering around for two hours then take back to Naples. An audio guide is available (at extra cost).
