Overview

This day trip provides an opportunity to become acquainted with the historical, gastronomical and natural beauty of the area.
You will visit a volcano that has been dormant since World War II, which famously entombed the ancient Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum; you can explore their streets, houses and sculptures still perfectly preserved after all these years.
The second part of your journey will involve learning about local pride - wine.
At the winery, you'll be taken on an electric golf cart tour through the vineyard by a staff person who will give you information about production before leading you to a wine tasting. You may opt for lunch featuring regional cuisine and products as well.

You will have the chance to ascend the volcano Vesuvius with your private driver up to an altitude of about 1200 meters, passing through Mediterranean pine trees and broom flowers. Once arrived at the parking lot you'll proceed in climbing the last section of around 300 meters until reaching the crater's edge; admire its size and look upon Naples Bay.
