    Cz?stochowa is a city in Silesia, about 130 km from Krakow. The story goes that during the Swedish Flood of the 17th century, the Swedish army tried to take control of the monastery and steal the image of the Black Madonna. But brave monks successfully defeated them and hid the picture in a safe place. Every year this monastery is visited by pilgrims from all over the world, it was also a place of pilgrimage for Pope John Paul II.
