Belfast Airport

Belfast City Airport serves Northern Ireland’s capital. This airport is only three kilometres from the centre of the city and is the smaller of two airports serving Belfast- the other being Belfast International Airport. The airport is sometimes called George Best Belfast City Airport after a famed Northern Ireland football star who passed away in 2006.

Car hire at Belfast Airport is located in the Arrivals Hall of the airport. There are car hire desks for Avis, National, Hertz, Budget, and Europcar. For unbeatable prices, shop online and compare the rates of all of these agencies in order to save the most money. This will allow you to choose the best features and price to serve your holiday needs.

Business travellers will be happy to know that there is an internet zone in the passenger’s area of Belfast City Airport. The main terminal of the airport features lounges for Flybe and BMI, which is a benefit if you are flying with them. The passenger area features a play area and there is also a convenient Mother and Baby area near the restrooms to accommodate travellers with small children. A duty-free shop, book shop, and a few restaurants and bars round out the facilities in the passenger zone. The check-in area of the terminal has conference facilities, ticket counters, an internet zone, a money exchange, information desks and tourism counters (including car hire).

Also located in the main portion of the terminal is the disabled/reduced mobility assistance area. Belfast City Airport has a Reduced Mobility Assistance Team ready to help those with mobility issues get around the airport and to their destinations safely and comfortably. The airport has accessible restrooms, and both the ground and first floor buildings have ramps, lifts, railing and the like to make the airport as obtainable as possible for those with mobility issues. Car park spaces for disabled guests are located nearer to the entrances and feature a telephone nearby to alert the Reduced Mobility Assistance Team upon arrival.
