Overview

Full day excursion in which we will move to the surroundings of Huelva to know the last steps of Columbus before he left for the first time in search of the new route of the Indies, in which he met the new continent. During the tour we will visit the Caravel Quay, where the replicas of the three ships that left on Columbus' first voyage are located. In addition to the replicas of the ships, its main tourist attraction, the Muelle de las Carabelas Museum has an interpretation center, the medieval neighborhood and the Isla del Encuentro, where an attempt has been made to recreate the indigenous culture of the Island of Guanahani, the first island on which Christopher Columbus landed on October 12, 1492. Later we will move on to the Monastery of Santa María de la Rábida, where Christopher Columbus stayed, before leaving for the New World from Andalusia, when he was still preparing his project. Finally, we will go to the town of Moguer where we will visit the Monastery of Santa Clara.
