Guided Tour from Madrid to El Escorial and the Valley of the Fallen on a luxury bus to visit the majestic Royal Monastery of El Escorial, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, as well as the whole monument of the Valley of the Fallen located in another beautiful enclave of the Madrilenian mountain range.
We will start with a guided visit of the Royal Monastery of El Escorial that Philip II had built as a residence and Royal Pantheon. Symbol of the greatness of the Spanish Empire, is an impressive construction of great historical-artistic and architectural value.
We will continue to the Valley of Cuelgamuros where the highest Christian cross in the world announces the location of the Valley of the Fallen, an extraordinary and controversial building site of architecture, sculpture and erected engineering in honor of the fallen in the Civil War that gave way to a long period of dictatorship in Spain.
We will return to Madrid after the guided tour to the Valley of the Fallen.
