Because if you go to the lavender fields to take pictures, the golden light is between 8pm and 9:30pm. During the day the light is very strong and it can be very hot. We will leave Marseille at 4:15pm so we can catch the nice sunset when we get to Valensole plateau. The trip to get there is around 1 hour and 20 minutes.
