Overview

An alternative tour of the Acropolis Museum that starts from the oldest street in Athens, Tripodon Street! Sofia the Owl, one of the many owls who live from ancient times until now in Plaka neighborhood, will help the children unravel the myths and discover the history that lies behind the ancient monuments of the city!

Before and during their visit at the Acropolis Museum, children with Sofia the Owl’s assistance will have the opportunity to learn hidden stories about important exhibits of the Museum. The owl will also help the children to think about the life of ancient Greeks, their materials, colors, art and philosophy!

Arriving at the Museum we will follow a specific route where we will stop only at selected exhibits and through short activities, children will be able to see the unseen mysteries and stories of these exhibits.

The program ends outside of the Acropolis Museum and under the sunny Attic sky, where each child makes his own owl doll!
