We’ll kick off this culinary adventure with a selection of small bites, including some of the best olives at Varvakios, the central market. From the classic Souvlaki to a variety of sweet Greek treats, you’ll be tasting specialties found in Athens.
I'll teach you how to drink "tsipouro" (an un-aged brandy) the Greek. For a real local experience, we’ll wander around one of the most fragrant streets in Athens and visit a locals’ favorite spice market in Evripidou Street.
As we slowly comb through the streets, I’ll get the conversation rolling by sharing with you the history of Athens along with interesting food tales only we locals know.
To truly understand the flavors of Athens, we’ll try some traditional Souvlaki. We'll experience all the iconic dishes not to be missed and finish up at a convenient spot with delicious memories and photos as we say goodbye and where I ensure you know your way home and help you with things to do while you’re in Athens.
